The Connally Hotel Downtown Atlanta Ascend Hotel Collection

The food was very nasty; the bed mattress needs to be replaced - the springs were bad in the back. There was a 3 inch streak of bug guts on the ceiling. The room smelled.

Liked: The convenience to the venue.
Disliked: The bed; the morning breakfast and the dirty room.

Rooms were clean and employees were nice and helpful.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: None.

Disliked: A lot of people hanging around the front.

Disliked: Place was dirty had bugs in bed Ave floor of 2 separate rooms had to leave the dangerous area at 11:30 at night and find another hotel

Liked: Location to venue I was attending
Disliked: Parking was not free. The garage nearest the hotel was vandalized and elevators non operable. Stairwells were dark and you couldn’t see to use them. Had to valet for $55. Which I had not intended on spending. My booking was for $156.00 (taxes included) and I was charged $235.80, so I’m not even sure how that number was calculated. I doubt I will book with this property again.

The stay provided the comfort...

Liked: Breakfast had options which was appreciated. The surrounding neighborhood not much on the vision but it was in walking distance from great spots such as the Ferris wheel and park (Approx. 15 minute walk). Lots of eateries in the surrounding area. Biggest plus it was right next to the train station (across the road). The staff was very friendly.
Disliked: An inner door needed a little maintenance work. The area had a lot of homeless people (not at the fault of the hotel, and I was not bothered or harassed, just sad to look at).
