The Confluence Hotel

beautiful place that needs work...

Liked: Gorgeous historic building with a great, walkable location. the furnishings and design were impeccable.
Disliked: concierge at check in was helpful and cordial. everyone else on staff we interacted with was not so much. server in onsite restaurant (who also sat us) was visibly annoyed we asked to sit outside (weekday brunch visit obviously understaffed.) upon departure we were using the side door to parking lot to load up our belongings (this stay was a weekly hotel stop on our 6 month car camping trip with our young child and family dog) and a woman in management position was glaring at us from the side door and making snarky remarks about "how organised " we were (in that moment we clearly were not.) that last interaction really dampened our experience. we had intentionally spent a very limited budget to stay at that hotel being and being made to feel judged in that manner left a sour taste to the experience. it's clear we fall outside their normal demographic in terms of socioeconomic and ethnic status--maybe that contributed to the interactions? who knows.

A lovely, unique place to...

Liked: This is a very unique and pretty hotel with an upscale restaurant and bar. The room was comfortable, spacious, and had a very nice shower. The location was ideal with a lovely view of the Mississippi. It was also within walking distance to all downtown shopping, coffee shops, and bars, which made it quite convenient.
Disliked: It was a little noisy in the morning with some screaming kids in the hallway. I also wish the hotel had additional amenities like a pool and hot tub, which I enjoy when I travel. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience.

Great gem in Hastings, MN

Liked: This hotel is in a lovely location. The staff are fantastic, especially Sharon and DeShon! The rooms are large and just much higher level for a three star hotel. All family and friends were very impressed!
Disliked: I can’t think of anything.

Too short

Liked: Everything!!! Service was wonderful. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Beautiful, comfortable place! Coming back again!!!
