Exceptional ‘Home from home’ accommodation.

Liked: The property is very well located right on the seafront with access to local attractions. The building has high ceilings and has great character. What we particularly liked was the warmth of the reception and the flexibility of how the Commodore ‘operates’. That is, it gives you the opportunity to be self-catering if you prefer but more than a B&B. In our opinion, an excellent business model for visitors to the area.We have to make mention of the incredibly fantastic host, in particular Helen who has done and is doing a brilliant job. A welcome gift of a cream tea and a fantastic assortment of breakfast items. The owner, David was delightful (thank you for the coffee machine tuition)!Totally recommended for a relaxing time.
Disliked: What was there to not like?

3 night stay

Liked: Great location on seafront with sea view. Really liked the DIY breakfast which you can have whenever you are ready and also use of the shared kitchen and dining area at any time. Helen was lovely, checked we had everything we needed once we arrived and left us a cream tea the next afternoon.
Disliked: We aren't used to road noise so found the motorcyclists roaring along the road in front bothersome. Our room, Isadora Duncan, didn't have much storage space, no wardrobe or hooks and only a few small drawers.

Best choice to stay in...

Liked: The hotel provides everything we need. Especially, self service continental breakfast with all ingredients in a communual kitchen allows us to cook anytime we want. An ensuite seaview bedroom with sofa was fantastic. We really like it and will go back again but will upgrade to the suite seaview bedroom on the ground
Disliked: A bit of noise from the room next door as it's a stud wall.

Disliked: Bed in isabella sweet is getting tired pocket springs on mattress dig into my thighs and hips so had to sleep on quilt!bathroom has no shelves in shower so have to reach down on the floor to reach showering products and nowhere to hang your towels!

Pleasant & convenient

Liked: Breakfast was self service with a really great variety. Location of the hotel was in a really good location. Ground floor toilet wasn’t open which was a bit inconvenient, bathroom in our room was dared & needed some shelves and somewhere to put shower gel etc as bendin to the floor wasn’t ideal
Disliked: A little tlc to outside of the property
