Liked: Lovely rooms and lovely food we enjoyed our breakfast and got tea from the busy pub all staff very friendly and our food and drink was very reasonable priced for the quality that it was The pub down stairs was very busy and the night club next door but no noise disturbed us Really good value for money
Disliked: The only issue we had was our room was extremely hot (we did stay on the hottest weekend yet) but we really struggled to stay on our room for longer then 5 minutes so I would recommend taking a fan with you if the forecast is looking good but we just went to the Tesco 2 minutes away and bought one

Perfect for my needs and...

Liked: The room was exactly as described, small and compact, but ideal for my needs. The food in the restaurant was spot with a nice pint and friendly welcome in the bar.
Disliked: As room 1 was the first room at the top of the stairs, it meant all guests had to pass my room to get to theirs, this was rather loud as they were passing and talking late at night (not particularly the hotel fault) although signage to respect other guests could help.

Comfortable overnight stay. Breakfast does...

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable for one night. Nice character about it.Staff friendly and helpful.We ate in the restaurant for dinner and food was lovely.
Disliked: Didn't like that breakfast started at 10am which didn't suit our plans and we were only informed of that when we checked in. We needed to be having breakfast by 8am as we had an event to attend in the morning. Our room rate included breakfast so it did not feel value for money because we then had to spend more money for breakfast elsewhere.

Terrible.

Liked: The room was clean.
Disliked: This is not a hotel. It is a club/ karaoke bar with rooms. The noise and base vibrations from the venue are incredibly loud from around 7 pm until midnight. With this in mind, the bar / club is not family-friendly for eating. Once the pub does shut at 11pm ( unless it has a private function and closes at 1am), it is then host to constant stream of drunk people from the club next door. This is partly due to the fact that the seating area outside of the hotel is not removed or closed. On our visit, this resulted in us witnessing staff tackling a woman outside who was then arrested when the police arrived.. As there is no air-conditioning in the rooms, windows HAVE to be open. In terms of breakfast, there is none! What is on offer is brunch from 10 am to 12 pm. If you have children or a diabetic family members who may need to eat at an appropriate time, nothing is on offer until 10 am.. On checking in, a member of staff suggested a shop / cafe around the corner if we were hungrier before then. On request for some refund, we are still waiting.

Liked: Comfy beds.
Disliked: The shower tray had a pattern on it that looked like tiny insects. At first I thought it was not clean, only when I tried to clean it did I discover that it was the pattern of the shower tray. I'm sure other guests would have got the wrong impression that it was not clean when it was.Breakfast cost was a flat rate of £10, which would have been very expensive if you only wanted a cup of coffee and a slice of toast instead of a full fry up.
