Nicely located little Country Town...
Liked: Location was great in Main Street. Lovely old Art Deco Building. Room was spacious and had a separate entry as it was the accessible room, (also a room that allowed a small pet). The the ability to have a small pet was 10/10 and many properties don't or cant do this. Bathroom was huge, (due I think as it was accessible room), bathroom product very good and plentiful. Great towels etc. Room extremely clean 10/10. Instant coffee, Teas, (black, green and herb) a good offering and milk in the fridge.
Disliked: The bed was way to uncomfortable. Was extremely soft, with the mattress attached pillow top and we both rolled into the centre which made for a NOT such a good sleep. The Room was nice but not outstanding for $338 a night, (which is felt was a bit much when breakfast was not part of the deal or even available to any guest). Could have a bit more detail and atmosphere, just feels a little under done. RE food for breakfast: There were a couple of local cafes open up the street which was really helpful and only metres away. Re value...... for $338 a night without access to breakfast or anywhere else to sit during the day, (other than the Resturant, and opened at 11.30am for lunch and lights out the4 rest of the time) just felt like we had a room and that was it :-( We did not feel welcomed by the hotel as a guest and at all for $338. a night. The staff were very pleasant on check in, but it was a cool, rainy weekend and no fire was on in the foyer, (maybe not cold enough yet???). Re the value: As we travel a lot. I can get a room at say 4.5 star Hyatt Centric in Melbourne, in a great room with a view, with full breakfast, and access to a full hotel of facilities, lounge, bar, cafe, restaurant, gym and pool. Im not saying the Commercial should have all this, (as it would be ridiculous) but a bit more then they are offering at minute if they want return guests and guests to rave about the property, which I feel they should. Maybe opening the front bar as a lounge for hotels guests with better seating and a fire some music and books to read and making it exclusively there's. This would make you feel special. The room is currently set up as dining room and never seems full when Ive eaten here on other occasions. Just a pity this place could be soooo much better with a little love and some thoughts into what guests would want in a little country hotel for a weekend away.

Stunning little gem !
Liked: What a gorgeous find ! We absolutely loved our stay ! The room was beautiful and we enjoyed our night downstairs by the fireplace in the restaurant
Disliked: Gosh . If I had to pick .. I found the mirror a little too far to see whilst doing my makeup . Easy sorted by adding a little makeup mirror perhaps?

Enjoyed the pub feel in...
Liked: Very clean and comfortable
Disliked: The switchboard decided to set off an alarm which went all night till the cleaning staff were in around 9am. After the hotel closes there needs to be some staff around to deal with these issues.

Wonderful place to stay in...
Liked: Lovely room with sweet balcony overlooking the heart of the CBD, beautifully presented, gorgeous bathtub, very clean, great air-conditioning and comfortable bed. Dined in the hotel restaurant, absolutely fantastic meal, delightful service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
