This was a clean room...

Liked: It was in town and close to what we wanted to do.
Disliked: No hair dryer. No coffee pot. Small shower with no shelf to put shampoo or soap on.

Exceptional

Liked: They have a nice piano in the main saloon.I would definitely come back, the place gave us good vibes.

Disappointing

Disliked: We booked a 2 bedroom suite but we got a twin room which was around 60$ cheap on booking.com but we didn't get any compensation or reply in fact

My stay was marvelous

Liked: I really didn’t have breakfast because I left early from the location. However I did had their ice creams. The coconut ice-cream was delicious. The location was the best. This place is near all the falls that I went to.

Shady and unethical

Liked: Location was perfect for the State Park.Beds were comfortable.Room was clean. A/C worked great.
Disliked: We were locked out at 7:30 AM. All the phone numbers listed in the welcome email were either the wrong number or disconnected. Apparently, the company was sold a year ago, and all numbers listed were for the previous owner. It was extremely frustrating. It is also unethical. If I was a diabetic and had my insulin in the refrigerator inside, this could be a matter of life and death. And it was not an isolated incident. The couple staying in the room next door were also locked out. I am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau. The 3 staff members we did interact with when they were at the facility (which was not very often) were pleasant and helpful. But to be locked out of a room and not have anyway to reach the management or staff is totally unacceptable!Also, toilet would not flush properly and we had to continually use the plunger.

A delightful hotel with a...

Liked: A charming place. The staff, Charlene particularly, was warm and welcoming. The location is about as close to perfect as one could hope for.
Disliked: They are doing some restoration so it one couldn't expect perfection. They certainly tried to provide perfection, though

Colonial Inn and Creamery is...

Liked: The inn had a nice homey feel as though we were staying with family in their home. The room was completely adequate with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.
Disliked: There is a contactless check in process that totally did not work for us. We arrived about 3:10 after receiving a text saying we could check in. The text included our room number and a code to unlock the door. We could see through a door that was slightly ajar that our room was not ready. I texted the number we’d been given if we needed assistance. No reply. We sat in an area between the creamery and the inn for an hour before a very helpful man who was operating the wood fired pizza truck in the parking lot passed through several times and saw us waiting. Finally he asked us what we were waiting for and we explained. After more waiting he came back and said someone would come speak to us in a few minutes. Long story but we were finally able to get into a room (not the original room) around 4:30. The very kind man offered us free ice cream which we declined and then offered us a free pizza which accepted. If not for that man who knows how we would have gotten our room.
