Excellent stay at friend, comfortable...

Liked: Room was ideal for our use. We enjoyed the breakfast and the overall 'feel' of the inn, the accommodation and our stay. Staff were lovely and helpful.We were at a festival in St Albans and travelled in and out at the weekend by bus, which stops near the hotel. There are some superstores within walking distance which was also good!
Disliked: Nothing.

Very cordial staff. Good service....

Liked: BF was good. it was value for money. There is a river nearby. We can walk by the banks through thick woods. Very peaceful.Tully's Tulip garden is just 15 minutes walk. There are Sainsbury's, Next and M&S stores at walking distance.
Disliked: Need more options for vegetarians. Limited options in menu.

Disliked: We paid full price for breakfast but it wasn't clear on what was included in that price.

Liked: Room ok, nothing special. Comfy bed.Staff were pretty grumpy and service was slow, I think they were short staffed. No one available to check us in until the only member of the team able to do so had finished serving at the bar.Food at dinner was dreadful although breakfast was better, there was a vegan option.Check in, after 3pm and out by 12pm times were good.
