Good

Liked: Fantastic location and sweet staff
Disliked: It was pretty loud in the morning. You can easily hear car noises, although the hotel provided ear plugs and eye patches

Cute b&b with excellent location...

Liked: The room was very nice and spacious. It even had a cute little fireplace! I loved my stay there and the staff was friendly. The location is very good, 10 minutes by foot from all the main attractions of Canterbury.
Disliked: The place just needs some revamping. It’s a beautiful old building but there’s a bit of spiderwebs which need cleaning and the garden could use some sorting

A pity that the above...

Liked: The hotel's location was excellent and the room very comfortable. Parking was also most conveniently placed.
Disliked: We were initially shown to the wrong room (Room 1) and spent the first night there. Having no en-suite W.C. was a nuisance as well as the fact that it was only reached by 2 small, steep, flights of stairs, not easily negotiated by two guests in their late 80s. We were unaware, when booking, that breakfast was not available on the premises, despite the information sheet clearly stating that it was available from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily. It was 2 days after reporting it that the faulty T.V. was eventually repaired. Communication with Reception was difficult at times. The 4-star rating we thought very inaccurate.

Bad

Disliked: There was no private bathroom in the room, but the ad said there was a private bathroom. So I booked it, but when I went, I only found a small room.

Liked: Great location. Private parking at extra cost. Excellent Thai food takeaway Co-located.
Disliked: Slightly dated interior. Staircase is hard work - not good for anyone with access issues

Comfortable, central location in a...

Liked: Central location, friendly and efficient staff. Liked the rather quirky conversion of the Georgian house, still with some original old features. Comfortable, cosy, well-equipped and quiet room including bedside fan. No fuss key code system for front door.
Disliked: Clean but room looking rather worn - needs a bit of painting and touching up. Toilet also could do with refurbishment. Would also recommend keeping door to ?cleaning room downstairs shut when guests arrive.
