Very comfortable stay, quiet country...
Liked: We had a very comfortable stay here. The bedrooms are on the ground floor around a courtyard and so each has it's own front door. A quiet country location - convenient for staying near to Oxford or surrounding villages - we were going to Waterperry Gardens the following day.Staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a very nice breakfast. Good
Disliked: All good.

Exceptional
Liked: Excellent little pub in the country not far from Oxford. Very friendly staff, helpful and made great recommendations. Food was very good and plenty of it for a reasonable price. Great atmosphere.

An attractive coaching inn with...
Liked: It's a good country pub with comfortable 'motel-style' rooms around the courtyard. Excellent bed, wi-fi and TV. Staff were attentive and helpful. Refills for coffee, tea and fresh milk were easy to get. I didn't know that simple breakfast of cereals and toast was included...which was nice. Extra charge of course for full English etc. We ate dinner on one night and it was freshly cooked, tasty and plentiful.
Disliked: Bathroom shower needed repair around the joint between unit and hose. The location (not the fault of the pub!) is in the middle of nowhere but of course that can be handy sometimes. It is I think slightly expensive for the size of room and its location.

Passable
Liked: Attached to a lovely pub serving good food
Disliked: Room was well used. Bed was very uncomfy, think the mattress may need replacing.Bathroom shower cubicle and tiles showed signs of age (mould etc)

Ok for 1 night
Liked: Staff lovely and really helpful.
Disliked: Rooms, a bit tired and in need of a paint job.Very spidery, especially around the entrances.Net curtains had mould spots on.Courtyard messy and in need of a sweep.Cigarette ends in a plant pot not emptied regularly.Red flooring in breakfast room really black. The whole place could do with a spruce up. Shame, as its a lovely old building in need of a bit of love.We were also told when we booked that it was only 4 Mile's from Oxford, when in fact it was more like 9!!
