Convenient location, good price, fine...
Liked: Easy check-in. Parking with a motorbike wasn't an issue as space on wide pavement opposite. (Cars would need to park in a nearby car park.) Simple bedroom, perfectly suitable for a night on our trip, slept fine. Good location with decent eating/drinking options v nearby, including a fine micropub.
Disliked: Banged head on lampshade a few times! Coffee machine worked once and then decided not to the second time... :/Nothing major tho.

Excellent entertaining historical hilarious stay
Liked: So pleased we ended up at Coach and Horses Chepstow. A beautifully preserved 600 year old building with all the eccentricities you would expect but much better showers ! So inviting was the pub after spending a couple of hours wandering in history around Chepstow Castle the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in Britain located above cliffs on the River Wye , we enjoyed a Devon pie and several drinks with the locals also in the pub. Publican Dave, is a passionate history buff who is as interesting as he is entertaining and hospitality second to none. The little things like enjoying a scrumptious breakfast sitting next to a 1000 year old wall incorporated into the pubs foundations , which in its former life was the border wall between Wales and England all the while being entertained by Dave , made this stop a highlight on our trip.

Pleasant
Liked: The staff were very friendly. We were drenched after walking the Welsh coast path. But the staff managed to organise early check in and even dried some of our clothes for us.
Disliked: The walls were very thin. We were awoken at 5.00 by guests in another room.

Brilliant, central, highly recommend
Liked: Clean, very helpful and friendly staff, great experience, nothing was too trouble, beautiful breakfast, close to town and 20mins walk to racecourse, highly recommended . Landlord has fantastic knowledge and history on area and hotel.
Disliked: No faults at all, wish I could have stayed longer
