The Clermont London Charing Cross

Very enjoyable staff

Liked: Great location and fabulous, very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious as was the evening meal. Very quiet room, didn’t hear any noise from outside or adjoining rooms. Beautiful hotel. Smelt gorgeous on arrival.
Disliked: The only complaint was as we had arrived slightly early we were able to check in but the fridge with the mini bar hadn’t been refilled. We were told that would happen shortly. On leaving the hotel at 7 we still hadn’t had it replenished so asked staff on the way out if it could be done then but on coming back to the hotel at 10, still nothing. The message in the room was everything is on us, well nothing was on you as there was nothing to be had and it’s very rare you don’t have to fork out for the items in the fridge so I thought that was a bit unfair , especially what the room cost for one night

Disliked: Be aware there are 2 areas of the hotel, the ritzy side and the not so ritzy (which is still grea if you didn't walk through the ritzy side first

Sanctuary in the City

Liked: It was a perfect location for our weekend break - easy walk to Covent Garden to have a dinner followed by a musical at the National Theatre, and a night cap at the hotel bar. The next morning, we strolled to Covent Garden again, watched some street performances and had a breakfast at a cafe.Although this hotel is actually above the Charing Cross station, our room was quiet and very comfortable.
Disliked: The lifts were so slow for some reason, and we had to wait long each time.

Exceptional

Liked: Beautiful hotel, impeccably appointed and maintained. Spacious room, excellent amenities.
Disliked: Restaurant and bar close a bit on the early side, but this is typical for the whole area.

Our new favourite hotel

Liked: This is the most lovely hotel. Our whole stay was a pleasure. The staff couldn't have been kinder and we had a fantastic dinner in the restaurant. Also, small thing, but the shower pressure was fab! Felt like being caught in a storm. Magnificent :)
