Liked: It was rather nice that as a frequent returner when we went to the room there was a cake with 'Welcome back'. Think that's a nice touch

Another excellent stay at one...
Liked: Location, staff, breakfast were all exceptional
Disliked: Signage outside isn’t good, you don’t know where the hotel is as you approach. Also no signage in the lifts to indicate which floor the restaurant and gym are on.

Happy staff and an elegant...
Liked: Friendly helpful staff. Clean well equipped room. Elegant decorations
Disliked: Route from reception to the room was convoluted and slow due to wait for lifts. Stair well was narrow and only accessible through fire doors. Bedroom was big enough for one, but the bathroom had a shower only and a "Deluge" type shower so it took seconds for the bathroom to be steamed up. A smaller shower head would have been more practical. There was a queue to be seated for breakfast and also when having a drink in the bar..the breakfast/bar rooms seemed too small for the number of guests/rooms

Great location, comfy beds and...
Liked: The location is perfect - right next to Charing Cross station and so convenient for the theatre district/main shopping areas.The room and ensuite were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.The room was quiet - we were situated in the newer, annex part of the hotel in a separate building.
Disliked: The customer service wasn't great - we dropped our bags early and were called at @1PM to be told that our room was ready early - so far, so good. We headed back a few hours after and at check in were asked if we would like our bags to be brought to our room - we said yes please, but an hour passed and still no bags - they were still in the hold! We couldn't call them on our room telephone as this didn't work, so I called them on my mobile and eventually ran down to retrieve the cases myself as we had an early dinner reservation and were in danger of missing it. There was another case of miscommunication with the front desk too, when my partner asked for some extra toilet rolls, none arrived, but somebody did drop off 2 pairs of slippers to our room later that day!!The 'complimentary' mini bar was empty when we arrived, apart from 2 bottles of water - after the issue with the suitcases, somebody came up and left 2 cans of coke and 2 packs of crisps with no rhyme or reason - it all seemed a bit haphazard and unprofessional. The cold tap in our bathroom was exceedingly tight/difficult to turn on and off and part of the toilet roll holder had fallen off the wall. These are all minor issues but were not expected in a hotel with such a high price tag!
