Disappointed with Booking.com’s description, not...

Liked: Clean, great bathroom, bedroom and lounge area. Great location. Helpful staff.
Disliked: Paid over £300 for junior suite with sea view. Booking.com website did not make it clear that this suite was on the ground floor (listed near the end of ‘facilities’, which a room type is not) therefore obstructed sea view, busy main road and passersby and no privacy. Very noisy from above rooms.

Disliked: Would have liked a bar in the hotel, but we knew it didn't have one before we arrived so no big problem

Disliked: No staff presence.Light switches quite complicated.The shower curtain!!! Rail needs placing further away from the bath!Bath plug didn’t fit.Bed very comfy, but would benefit from being a double rather than two singles together!

Disliked: The door entrance needs a hand rail to help getting up and down the steps.on entering the room it was extremely dark so had to try and find the light switches, on entering the suite it was not very welcoming as there was a bed with nothing to posh it up a large tv on wall,wooden floors which were very cold, there was a small table with two chairs, and in a corner was a coffee machine and kettle. We were on the ground floor which I did not expect, so there were people walking past the window constantly and the traffic was also noisy. The windows were covered with net curtains which left gaps at the sides could not pull over as I was unable to reach. The bed was very uncomfortable and the quilt was far too heavy for the time of year. The electric extension lead was hanging which I felt was unacceptable. The bathroom shower head needed descaling as it squirted out onto the floor. This was not what I had hoped for and was deeply disappointed.

Liked: Room was big and clean
Disliked: The suite I booked turned out to be on the ground floor next to a busy pedestrian area. Effectively no sea view or sea air as blinds and curtains needed to be permanently closed for privacy. This was not clear when I booked.Staff were unable to help due to hotel being full.
