Nice hotel shame about the...

Liked: Very quiet,, clean and the staff were friendly. Although the room was on the small it had a good shower which is important to us. The location was good for getting to main roads.
Disliked: Paying £18 to park in the hotel grounds. When I booking I missed that fee. Had I noticed I would not have booked. I would have used the £18 to stay at better Hotel. Breakfast was expensive as at £18 per person

Liked: Breakfast was beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, especially Wayne. We will definitely stay again

Fantastic venue and excellent friendly...

Liked: The staff were all so freindly and could not do enough for us. The hotel itself was lovely with great themed rooms and beer garden. The food both in the beer garden and in the restaurant was faultless.
Disliked: The only down side was the size of our room which was quite small and poorly ventilated, which made it very stuffy during the rare hot weather during our stay.

Disliked: Got burnt by the shower two days in a row. Be very careful the water was scolding. It’s not a cheap hotel and there is no cleaning of your rooms, which is not advertised. Therefore if you are out all day you are coming home to no fresh towels or bed made. You don’t go on holiday for thatI left a very important item in the hotel room. Not high money value but important to me. I called from the train station to go back. I gave them the wrong room number but they had it on the computer. Called on return home. They don’t have it. Neither do I so it’s just vanished. I left it last to lift as it was paper and would get damaged in my bag. Sun was shining, could not have a shower. Health and safety is required for that shower even being allowed to get that hot. A child could turn it and get injured. I will not be back to this hotel but I will be back to YorkAlso. Take booking insurance. Booking dot com tried to intervene and cancel on my behalf with plenty notice and they still said no despite having being diagnosed with three illnesses. Luckily my health picked up to allow me to get to the concert otherwise I would have lost all my money along with my missing set list that I’ll never get again. Given by the artist. Cheers Churchill for ruining my trip

Liked: Lovely decor, very polite and friendly staff. We loved having a breakfast with table service.
Disliked: It was a very warm day and we couldn’t open the windows
