The Spotlight on The Chicago Hotel Collection Millennium Park

Downtown Comfort Just Steps from Chicago’s Music Scene

Modern and spacious, The Chicago Hotel Collection Millennium Park offers apartment-style suites in the heart of downtown Chicago. Set in a historic building on Washington Street, this hotel blends vintage charm with convenient amenities like free Wi-Fi, family-friendly layouts, and in-room kitchens — all just a short walk from major entertainment venues and the buzz of Millennium Park.

Why Concert-goers love it

You can’t beat the central location — just minutes from Chicago Theatre, House of Blues, and other top music venues. Whether you're heading to a sold-out show or catching a last-minute gig, you’ll appreciate the easy access to public transportation and late-night ride shares. The spacious apartment-style rooms offer a quieter retreat after the show, and the 4:00 PM check-in leaves plenty of time to settle in before evening events.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends sharing a suite for a music-filled weekend
- Solo travelers attending a can't-miss concert
- Couples making a weekend getaway out of a live show
- Fans looking for a quieter, spacious place to relax post-show
- Budget-conscious music lovers who want space and location without splurging

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, the hotel’s fully-equipped in-room kitchens let you prep your own late-night snacks. You’ll also find a wide range of late-night eateries and bars just a short walk away. Breakfast options abound nearby — perfect for a slow start after a high-energy night.

Nightlife Options

You’re in the thick of Chicago’s nightlife scene here. From jazz lounges to rooftop bars and legendary blues clubs, it’s all within reach. While the hotel doesn’t offer live music on-site, the surrounding streets more than make up for it.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s unbeatable location near Millennium Park and concert venues, and praise the spacious rooms and apartment-like feel. Many mention how convenient it is for walking to events and relaxing afterward. The value for money also gets frequent shout-outs.

Areas for Improvement

Some rooms could use a light refresh, and a few guests have noted limited front desk staffing. Since this is more of a boutique apartment-style stay, don’t expect traditional hotel services like daily housekeeping. But for concert-goers, that’s often a fair trade for the space and location.

The Bottom Line

With its unbeatable downtown address, spacious suites, and walkable access to Chicago’s top venues, The Chicago Hotel Collection Millennium Park is a smart pick for any music fan looking to stay close to the action.

Horrible never again

Liked: Nothing. This was the worst stay ever. And its due to the check in. There is nobody there to check you in. A couple of iPad kiosks that dont work. Then you have to call for help and its 1 person that is not very helpful and multiple people had the same problem. Took me almost an hour to check in.
Disliked: Check in and the lack of actual staff to help.

Disappointing

Liked: The view from the window and the location is the only good thing about this hotel
Disliked: I tried to check in for an hour! They don't have live front desk staff. Only terminals for registration which do not work. The phone number for support is constantly not answered, and the message had to wait for 10+ minutes. TV does not work, interior decoration is very old, the price for such a hotel is too high

Good stay but be prepared to not get into your room instantly

Liked: good location
Disliked: check in process is horrible , nobody on site to help. you check in at a kiosk and even though i made a reservation on booking, my reservation was not showing on the kiosk and ended up having to call the help desk and they hung up on me twice. whole process took 45 minutes to get me in my room and you also have to keep your baggage that whole time
