Friendly, good location with Oxford...

Liked: The location was lovely. The staff welcoming and friendly. I think it may have just got new owners/management as there were some areas in need of paint and the shower holder was broken. I could feel the springs through the mattress, but fixed by placing a spare duvet under the sheet. The linen and towels were lovely , soft and clean.The food in the pub was lovely.I wish them well, and am sure they will have it all up to scratch very soon. Steventon is a very pretty village.
Disliked: the mattress and the shower fixings. The shower itself worked fine but it was swinging all over the place.

Liked: A warm, welcoming atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. Great rural location. The room had wooden beams and lots of character, the bed was very comfy.
Disliked: There was a party on in the room below us which we were only told about when we checked in. The party ended at 12am, which was fine as we were up late anyway, however it would have been nice to have been offered a late checkout. We did ask but we were told it wouldn't be possible.

Liked: The room was perfect for us with our 3 dogs.Kayleigh the manager was absolutely brilliant as was the breakfast there was a lot of fireworks that went off nearby and Kaylleigh was concerned for the dogs well being.The Cherry Tree is in a great location with beautiful countryside .

A disappointing stay in a...

Liked: Little to like, no Food on a Monday and this was not made clear at the time of booking for a Monday night stay. Rooms needed a good clean, wifi was intermittent and we were told the pub shut on a Monday at circa 2200 but when we got back from getting food 20 minutes away at 2020 they said they were waiting for us to shut. When we asked what time we could hand the keys back on Tuesday morning we were told 0730. We tried to get in to the pub to give the keys back and it was completely shut.
Disliked: They could improve on cleanliness of the rooms, be more open about food and be more helpful for workers that need to be on the road earlier than those staying for a break.
