Disappointing considering the money spent....

Liked: Location was lovely and quiet, attached pub was very nice and the breakfast was lovely
Disliked: Staff were quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. Dirty laundry on the floors of the communal areas, lots of dirty cups and things just around. Paid for early check in at 12 but room was still dirty and not ready until 1.20pm - no offer even of a drink or anything whilst we sat outside on a bench to wait

Liked: Location was good and food was exceptionally good, staff good
Disliked: Fire Alarm going off at 1-15 am in rhe morning and no Safety protocols ie roll call after the evacuation took place, not enough members of staff to deal with problem

Liked: Decor of rooms were very nice
Disliked: Not all the staff were very friendly or welcoming, especially at reception

Lovely, would stay again

Liked: Lovely, good quality decor and furnishings. Friendly. Comfortable, good breakfast.
Disliked: Shower could have been cleaner round seals and edges.

Really enjoyed our brief stay...

Liked: The staff were very helpful and attentive. The property was very well kept and well presented. The bar and dining space were very comfortable and quintessentially English it was a joy to stay there and will definitely use this hotel again.
Disliked: That I only booked for one night would have loved to stay for longer. Would like to visit in winter time and experience the bar with the log fire burning away.

Liked: Clean comfortable room. Lovely touch giving complementary drinks in the fridge.
Disliked: The room was lovely but a slight smell of damp when we first entered.
