Located in a quiet area in Andermatt amid the beautiful nature of the Swiss Alps 2789 feet from the Gemsstockbahn Cable Car Station The Chedi Andermatt combines Swiss hospitality tradition with Asian elegance. It features more than 200 fireplaces an indoor and outdoor pool a 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi. Free luggage storage is provided and the lobby is equipped with 2 fireplaces. The Chedi Andermatt features a 2400-square-yard wellness and spa area consisting of a fitness center a hot tub a steam bath and a sauna. Massages are available on request. The pool area is fitted with padded day beds. The rooms and suites are decorated in a traditional alpine style and come with a private bathroom a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a fireplace. They also feature a mini-bar and an iPad. The Chedi Andermatt houses various dining options one featuring a spacious cheese cellar and another one serving Japanese cuisine. A buffet breakfast is served every morning. The on-site bar and lounges offer a wide selection of wines cocktails and Swiss specialties. The hotel provides free ski storage. If needed guests can rent their skiing equipment directly on site. happy to have discovered one...

Liked: Leaving Briggels/Briels we decide to stop at this famous hotel “the chedi” Andermatt. Huge, big, large… and beautifully decorated. We booked a suite because the difference on booking was small. Impressive like an apartment. Everything is done via iPad. The bedding is amazing. There’s nothing negative to say. A lot of staff everywhere from the reception to the restaurant. But maybe too impersonal for us. We prefer smaller spot. More cosy, intimate.
Disliked: The breakfast doesn’t look “Chedi” vibes (big, huge, large)

Excellent and first class experience

Liked: I travel a lot and lots of experience with 5-star hotels. This one is definitely in my top 3. Very large and modern with some vintage touches. Suites are huge and well equipped with tablet to operate everything. Nice sugar bar, wine bar, multiple kitchens, really nice spa. Staff is really good and sincerely polite and helpful.
Disliked: Everything was more than good.

Very good hotel but after...

Liked: Service and cleanliness were very good.
Disliked: The bed was very bad. It was squeaking and constantly moving as if it was broken. The matteess felt like it was made out off rubber bands put together. Not comfortable at all and not even worthy of a three star hotel.
