Disappointed with the room. Very...

Liked: It was clean and easy to access
Disliked: The room smelt of tobacco smoke immediately on entering. We also noticed that the smokeAlarm had a bag tied over it!! The toilet seat was very loose and moved when you sat on it. The blinds didn’t close so had to struggle to close the curtains. The entrance to the shower is dangerously narrow. I slipped twice and a bigger person would definately have difficulty.

Where were the basics?

Liked: Excellent location right near the beach Restaurants, bars, shops and local transport links all nearby
Disliked: No staff to greet us, no handle on inside of the toilet door, dirty cups, dirty kettle, dirty windows. No fresh towels and no staff around to ask for assistance. Doors kept banging throughout the night, and walls were paper thin to the point my partner and I thought someone was in our room. Also, whilst using the shower, we had to keep turning it off several times to allow the water to drain

Needs improvement

Liked: Location was perfect. Value was good for a weekend stay. Check in was easy and direct.
Disliked: Unfortunately, we were left feeling a bit disappointed with our stay. When you enter the property, you’re met with a strong smell (wet dog/musky). I think the carpets could do with a good clean as it is very strong. We stayed in the double en-suite and have a strong suspicion the bathroom was not cleaned after the last stay as we were left with 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper, there was hair in the shower, and the mini shampoo bottles were opened and one was empty in the shower. There was no hand soap for the sink area. With the bed- you could feel the springs in the mattress. No information on WiFi that we could find. I rang asked for a fan and the WiFi password and they said they would send me the WiFi (I never got this) and was told there is one fan in the property and I could get it out of a cupboard. When I got back it was in our room (appreciated). Recommend getting a fan for every room for the summer as it would have been stuffy and unbearable without. Lastly, the electrics seem a little sketchy as the plug near the bed was very loose. Hate to leave such a negative review, but a lot of small things could be done to make a big difference.

Won’t stay here again unless...

Liked: Location was great, apartment was very spacious.
Disliked: The bathroom was a DIY project gone wrong with a very liberal interpretation of the regulations. Not sure this is safe. Other rooms also could do with some renovations. The couch would have been rejected by a student apartment if offered.
