Nice hotel, shame about the...

Liked: The hotel is right on the beach, very close to the Pier so the location is brilliant. It has a fabulous Art Deco lift which is a thing of beauty. We had a sea view room and could hear the sea too. Very comfortable rooms and helpful staff.
Disliked: The breakfast is a bit overpriced - particularly if you only have the Continental as there is no difference in price between it and a full cooked breakfast. The freshly cooked eggs are a good idea, but it would be nice to have some low cholesterol spreads as well as butter and some unprocessed bread for toast. Two cereal choices, croissants or petit pain and a fruit salad is also quite limited for a continental breakfast.

Great room, Great Location, comfortable...

Liked: Absolutely huge room, massive bathroom, with huge spa bath. very comfortable.
Disliked: The breakfast was not good, the second morning they had run out of most cooked options and fruit, no plates to put what little cold food was left, no-one seemed bothered so maybe that's normal, it wasn't the end of the breakfast time, there was about an hour left, a real shame as we were expecting breakfast to match the rest of the hotel which was lovely.

Terrible, keep away! I paid...

Liked: The location is amazing but the property is very tired. Whoever rated this establishment as 5* clearly has no idea what a 5* hotel looks like.
Disliked: The general condition is very shabby. I waited 5 mins at reception when I arrived before there was any sign of a member of staff. My room hadn’t been cleaned properly and the previous occupant had left a towel on the back of the bathroom door. The pictures I’ve added were of the room & balcony - clearly not even 3*!!The food was dire!

Good location

Liked: The room was large and comfortable. We had tea,coffee, hot chocolate plus biscuits which was great and also two bottles of water good for the hot weather. The room was very clean. The housekeeping staff were helpful. The bathroom was great. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The first morning at breakfast nearly everything had gone and we had to wait for the buffet to be restocked. The following morning was better.
