Very good
Liked: Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff and great location.
Disliked: The television in our room was very small. A beam across the room which you have to duck under to access the wardrobe wasn’t much of a problem for us but we would have liked to have been warned about it beforehand.

A little too pricey
Liked: Comfortable bed, clean and spacious room. Nice outlook and close to the town. Food was good, breakfast very tasty
Disliked: We felt the accommodation was overpriced as it was essentially a Pub and restaurant sothere were no other facilities as you would expect in a hotel. Also there were a lot of unsustainable items in use such as single use plastic toiletries and food stuff such as milk and coffee pods.

Rather disappointing. We shall have...
Liked: Comfortable room with a lovely view. Building had character and charm both inside and out. Good location for visiting Ludlow. Views from restaurant for breakfast were also good.
Disliked: We had exceptionally noisy guests staying in the room above us playing loud music and stamping on the floor until well after midnight. At a quarter to midnight it became necessary to go downstairs to report this to and ask for help from a member of staff. A member of bar staff came to our room to hear the noise and she went upstairs to deal with it. The level of noise decreased but didn’t stop until about half past midnight. Upon checkout we mentioned this problem and were summarily dismissed with a curt apology and presented with our bill.On our return we emailed the hotel to express our disappointment at the apparent lack of care and customer service. The hotel left a message on the answerphone and a few days later with no return call from them or email response we phoned them. We were told that the person who dismissed us on checkout was usually friendly and we received another apology. There doesn’t seem to be any care or concern for guests in this hotel !

Very good
Liked: Breakfast and evening meal were good. The beer excellent
Disliked: The shower was a little difficult to get in and out of - the opening door should have been on the left. But the shower was good

Liked: Breakfast was excellent, good choice, very friendly staff throughout, comfortable lounge, good beers, excellent dining and a great location by the river and the very old bridge to town.
