The Charles Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay...

Liked: The staff were delightful and very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The murals made it extra special. The bathroom was roomy and well appointed but stepping into the bath to shower was a bit of a challenge for elderly folk like us. The breakfasts were very good.
Disliked: Our room was on the 4th floor and the lift only goes to the third floor. The website stated ‘lifts to all floors’. Fortunately the kind receptionists carried our cases up and down the stairs for us.

Terrible stay in Prague

Liked: The location and breakfasts
Disliked: My stay at the hotel was not satisfactory. The air conditioning in the room has been broken since the moment I checked in. I made four complaints at the reception, with several different attendants. The problem was not even addressed, despite several requests. The team simply listened indifferently and did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. We were forced to either leave the room warm or open the window to the street, with noises during the early hours of the morning disturbing our sleep. Simply unsuitable for a 4-star hotel.

Excellent location, friendly staff, and...

Liked: We had two family rooms for two families and they were spacious. The buffet breakfast was nice for us - vegetarians. The location is the most important thing for us - since it is located near the Charles bridge and in the Lesser Town - it is very convenient to see the Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery, Loretta Church. St. Nicholas church, Lennon wall, Campa Island, Petrin Hill Tower, and Sterbesky and Scwarzenbesky art museums near the Prague castle, etc. We were to walk everywhere in Lesser Town. We took another hotel in Old town to see more things in the Old and New Town.

Liked: Great location,amazing staff,very rich breakfast with vegetarian options.Room was unique with beautiful paintings on the walls.
Disliked: Shame the manager decided to remove the paintings from the walls and ceilings.

Liked: Walkable to all of Prague biggest sights. Large room. Staff were helpful
Disliked: The ac was a bit tricky to use but worked fine

Exceptional place in the heart...

Liked: The hotel's main asset is the location, practically on Charle's Bridge doorstep. The main attractions are all within walking distance and there are lots of restaurants around. On top of this you have very good accommodation, set in an old building but very clean and well kept. Breakfast is very good, and the staff are very nice, especially Gabriel, who gave us a very warm welcome on arrival. We were infact upgraded to an apartment that felt like home.
Disliked: There is nothing to complain about

Liked: The location was amazing and the breakfast very good
Disliked: We got a room in the last floor, but the elevator doesn't reach that floor so you need to take the stairs, carrying your luggage... A disclaimer about this when booking would have been nice

Lovely, charm filled hotel right...

Liked: Location is amazing. And the building is full of historic charm.
Disliked: Bathroom toiletries were in those dispensers attached to a wall which never really work brilliantly. I’d prefer it if they were not attached.
