Great location but a bit...

Liked: Room in the main house was a suite but it was tired and the TV was small - especially for for the room size, it was nice enough but just needed a Bit more TLC
Disliked: No Telephone to reception and TV too small

Excellent value for money.

Liked: Really good location and the room was perfect. Breakfast and dinner excellent and reasonably priced. We’re going again when we next visit Stratford upon Avon.

Awful experience, will never go...

Liked: The place surrounding the property was lovely
Disliked: No sheets for the travel cotNo air con Drug paraphernalia left in the room No tea/ coffee maker No safety catches on the windows The rooms are filthy The carpets are filthy Bugs in the rooms I could keep going with what I didn’t like and what was not okay considering the amount it costs to stay here per night. I’m absolutely appalled at the way it was handled and nobody has offered at all to try and rectify this for us, either from the property themselves or booking.com.‘We’re sorry, we hope you enjoyed your stay’ this is not acceptable. I will be logging a formal complaint with both because it’s just not acceptable. I went with my 5 month old child and I haven’t never felt more unsafe than I did in that room. We left earlier than check out as I didn’t want to be there any longer than we had to be. We had considered leaving the day before to be honest because our stay was awful.

Lovely location, nice room, but...

Liked: Quiet location and nice room
Disliked: We think it was because we coincided with a coach trip, but staff inattentive bordering on rude.

Liked: The room that we stayed in had been recently refurbished so it was decent enough. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was ideally placed for us.
Disliked: Unfortunately the hot water system failed on our second day so there was no hot water in our room for an evening and night. It was back on in the morning,thankfully. Although we had asked for a room overlooking the gardens we were put in a room facing the car park, we thought it wasn’t too much of a problem so we didn’t ask if we could move. That was our mistake because we realised later that our window was directly above the cars in the car park and that there was a gathering of Austin car enthusiasts directly beneath us. Lots of revving of engines and loud conversations! To make matters worse the air conditioning in the room couldn’t be used and so we had to have the windows open because it was very hot. If we do return we will make sure we get a room that faces the gardens.

Liked: The staff at the hotel and restaurant were amazing. We never had to wait long at any point and they had some great suggestions on places to go and see.
Disliked: The room we were in could've done with Aircon but we did visit at the end of June.
