Disliked: Stayed here before , was looking forward to return visit. One minor query to reception was that I booked a Farmhouse twin room but the room we were given was nothing like the picture of the Farmhouse twin, it was more of a classic twin.

Disliked: Staff were unwilling to serve food outside (on a sunny evening) because they were too busy

Liked: The location of the hotel is a good base to visit further attractions in the area.
Disliked: The staffing at times felt unorganised. A large coach party had arrived on our first night and some staff appeared to struggle with this.There was also a man conducting business meetings / interviews out on the corridor outside the rooms for 2 days. This was not appropriate he was discussing their personal issues in front of us.

Liked: The hotel is in a lovely rural location. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds and good linen, however both rooms were travelled with friends were very tired.
Disliked: The menu, some items were not available from the menu including certain wines from the wine menu. Very slow restaurant service on both evenings for both food and drinks. Incorrect meals brought to the table on the Friday and very poor main course in the cottage pie on the Saturday evening.Breakfast uninspiring.
