Liked: Perfect location for us, staff were helpful breakfast was fabulous and all areas were spotless.
Disliked: The bed was too soft for me, but that is personal choice....

Liked: I had one of the rooms on the top with the balcony. It was great weather and nice to sit outside. The breakfast was very good - lots of choices.

Disliked: Air con not strong enough for summer. Provided fan only had some relief. Terrace didn’t feel private, dividers didn’t provide enough privacy

Definitely worth a return stay!

Liked: I liked that reception staff were efficient and welcoming; everything was ready when we arrived so we were not kept waiting while our details were being input into the computer. We were handed keys and able to go straight to our room to refresh and rest after our long journey. I loved the comfy, soft beds and pillows ensuring a solid night's sleep. Even though our room didn't have views, this was offset by the extras provided (air conditioning, fridge) and the immaculate cleanliness of room and the bathroom. The location was a bonus as the hotel is within walking distance of some of London's popular sights, there are bus stops nearby and the Aldegate Train station is across the road. The food isn't your regular pub fare; even the fish and chips are high quality! Breakfast has a variety of fresh fruits and hot meals with tea varieties, vegan options and good coffee on offer. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. What a wonderful place to come back to after a hectic day of sightseeing! I lost my phone in an Uber car I took to a nearby laundromat. Sameera at reception handled it like a pro. She kept the lines of communication between me, Uber and my family overseas clear and was helpful all the way until my phone was located. She was outstanding!
Disliked: Nothing. We cannot fault anything. From check-in to check out and everything in between, the service and hospitality here is something I haven't experienced in a long while. There was live music on Friday night. We were just sad we missed the Trivia session as my granddaughter would've enjoyed it immensely!

Liked: Great location.Looks like the hotel has had a recent refurb as the room was lovely, comfortable bed and lovely furnishings.Friendly staff and a great breakfast.Definitely a benefit having air conditioning.
