Great stay, clean and restful...

Liked: The staff was very friendly and kind two years ago, when I first dropped my daughter off at RPI. They are the people who remind me why I stay there. This time I went again and just as the first time, the staff is kind and friendly as well. The rooms are clean with a lovely style of decoration that imbues comfort and rest. The fresh fruit water and cold water options in the lobby are fantastic. I was able to refil my water bottle for the room. The halls are well lit and nicely decorated.
Disliked: The breakfast needs to be better. The fried egg looked fake but tasted alright. Hashbrowns are alright but heavy. Home fries tend to be a beeter breakfast option, in my opinion. I think they can make an economical breakfast better, and I don't think that was the case. The coffee was weak.

Liked: Quiet location. Nice grounds. Spacious and well furnished room. Ideal with a dog and a large crate.
Disliked: Nothing really. Coffee could be a tad stronger :-)

Best option for the cost...

Liked: This location is on a main road, but the rooms themselves are back from the highway so the noise is minimal. Updated room. Bed comfortable. The breakfast is decent and not the traditional bland continental options.We have stayed here twice and will reuse if staying in Albany again.
