Exceptional

Liked: Wow. Fantastic refurbishment. Hotel looks amazing. Clean, fresh and updated. Staff are lovely. Looks forward to staying again in August.
Disliked: Room was a little hot for me so opened the window and turned the radiator off. Definitely will need a fan in the summer. But that's just down to my age and hot flushes.

Liked: Amazing place, new refurbished. Nice interior. Nice people
Disliked: It is first week since they opened. So I believe it is normal to have some issues. They were only in the restaurant. Food is not very nice, risotto was plain.. Just rice. Food was strongly late but that was solved out we have left satisfied. Breakfast is a little bit unorganised but again it is first week ,first weekend and fully booked. I definitely would give 5 stars to this hotel and would come back.I am sure they will get in to routine and will have excellent service because everything else is perfect Location, room, place.

Perfect location and perfect hotel....

Liked: The room had everything it needed for our stay. The bar was well stocked of normal brands and also high end brands and was also reasonable prices. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we met with friends in Brecon town. Great location and very good staff.
Disliked: N/A

Liked: Newly renovated, great location, staff friendly
Disliked: Newly opened so the staff were still getting fully up to speed

Lovely setting

Liked: A lovely view to the Brecon Beacons.Individual room decor.Free parking immediately outside.Great location in walking distance of town centre.
Disliked: Although the en-suite bathroom was a generous size, the tiny washbasin was very impractical. A woman's touch would have ensured more intelligent design!

Liked: Couldn’t fault this hotel or staff

Great location

Liked: Great location, you can walk to the canal basin, and beyond easily. The cathedral and other areas are within easy access. The local shops and some eateries are also within a few minutes away. The hotel has so much history and people who worked there prior to the refurbishment had gone back to see, it was interesting talking to one of them and hearing his memories.All the staff were lovely, but I need to mention Michelle the duty manager, Claire the Chef and the lovely Maddie in the restaurant on Sunday evening, these three especially were helpful and friendly.
Disliked: There was no safe in the bedroom, and the floorboard in the room above were very noisy. The housekeeping on the Sunday was very late, we got back to the room around 4pm and they hadn't been in. Parking was limited and I would imagine if there is a wedding on, it could be an issue for some.
