A perfect overnight stay in...
Liked: A delightful four poster bed and a wonderfully wonky floor only added to the charm of the Castle Inn. Breakfast and dinner were both superb and staying right in Castle Combe, what's not to love about that. Wonderful.

Very good plus helpful staff.
Liked: This was our second stay and was very good. It was a very hot night and we liked that we were given two fans for our room.
Disliked: We felt unsafe in shower that was inside the bath because the bath wasn’t a flat enough surface and there wasn’t a non slip bath mat. Also there was no grab rail for safety which would have been helpful. We both felt like we could fall out if not very careful.

Not what we’d hoped for.
Liked: The outside of the building is chocolate box pretty. The staff are all very helpful. There’s no parking in the village but plenty of parking at the Manor House a short walk away.
Disliked: We drove into the village and there was literally tourists everywhere, constantly outside the hotel. Don’t stay here if you like peace and tranquility, but it’s great if you like crowds. Our attic bedroom had far too much unnecessary furniture squeezed in. The shower would be awful for a tall person as the roof slants right through it. I’m 5ft 5 and there was only just enough room to stand up. It was far more “commercial” and a little soulless inside than I’d expected, I’d hoped for more cosy quaint. Light sleepers - The church bells opposite chime on the hour throughout the night.
