Perfect location for Legoland

Liked: There was a problem with inventory when we checked in. I had reserved a premium King with balcony. They didn’t have it so got an upgrade to a suite which was nice. Just wish it had a balcony and not faced a parking lot. But nice to have the extra space. The cabanas were first come first serve and free. Nice to sit and watch the sunset. The kids pool and splash area was great. Loved having the activities center and arcade. If you’re going to Legoland the location is ideal.
Disliked: The fragrance in the lobby was so off putting. Very strong. I wished there was an actual restaurant. The dining is small and in the lobby. Trying to get breakfast in the morning was a cluster. So many people and kids overwhelming the space. They don’t do room service unless you order from Karl Strauss. The menu you get when you scan the QR code in the room was not the menu they had in the restaurant. The soap/shampoo/body wash in the bathroom is also very strong. Rosemary isn’t my favorite but I would have preferred something more neutral.

Liked: I loved everything about this hotel. My husband and I went to Carlsbad for a wedding, but were delighted to learn we were right next to Legoland. However, it didn't feel TOO touristy or loud or annoying. It was fabulous. Family-friendly without it being obnoxious. The hotel was comfortable, and had something for everyone - a separate pool for families and a nice lap pool for the singles. I'm actually looking forward to coming back with our own kids! I was very surprised because the price is manageable and the facilities very well maintained and comfortable.
Disliked: I wish there was room service for breakfast! That is my only complaint. They have it for lunch/dinner but I was really looking forward to breakfast in bed, but alas!
