Beautiful, historic hotel that was...

Liked: The breakfast and the restaurant staff were great. I loved that there was a small gym at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. My boyfriend and I loved the front desk cookies put out every evening too. I also appreciated that we could check in and get access to our room early.
Disliked: The room was a bit small and cramped for two people. The Sunday brunch buffet at the restaurant was delicious but expensive (considering there was no option to order the normal breakfast).

Liked: Everything was great except for having the room next to gym (loud).
Disliked: The room next to the gym is loud from people banging weights (7am, 1am).

Disliked: I was initially given a room that had an adjoining door which was not sound proof. The reception staff didn't hesitate to rehouse me in another room, so I was happy with their response. I also asked for a kettle, and was so pleased this was provided without any hassle.

Nice getaway treat

Liked: We have stayed many times at the Carolina Inn. It's beautiful. Clean, comfortable and we love to sit on the patio with the fire pit
Disliked: It's very expensive.
