Superb

Liked: It was clean. Comfy bed. It was very quiet through the night, even with the window. The staff were very nice and helpful. We had dinner, which we hadn't booked beforehand, but they fitted us in. Dinner was a set menu but well worth the price. I would recommend staying here.
Disliked: Not a lot I didn't like. I liked the breakfast in the room but it was a bit awkward as there was a small table to eat from which was OK for one person but not so easy for two. That is only a small dislike, not enough to put me off staying again.

Bad

Liked: Ample space
Disliked: Booked a suite with breakfast for myself ,wife and 11yr old son. With hindsight I should have been alerted to a problem when payment was demanded before showing the room . Bedroom was fine , bathroom was fine, lounge was spacious but put you up bed was very uncomfortable. As the Capon tree believes itself to be the best restaurant in town I was shocked when we were shown a collection of pastries and some pathetic slices of meat in a fridge and told this is your breakfast. Coffee was the sachet rubbish you would expect in a cheap nasty hotel and by 8pm the noise of banging doors from the bar directly below was so intolerable that we packed up and hit the road as a 5 hr drive through the night when already desperately tired had become easily the most appealing option . To sum up, nobody who chooses to book a suite rather than a room is looking for this kind of cheap nasty 3rd or more probably 4th rate experience, the front of house man when asked stated that he would be very happy with all of the above! I conclude from this that his career choice had been rash to say the least. Also the sink in the "suite " had a sign to say no water/liquid to be put down the sink and the tap had been shut of from the water supply. I could go on but this covers the main points.
