Great value for money

Liked: Good value for money. Great location for the cricket. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Nice staff.
Disliked: I think as long as you don't expect a five star hotel for the price, then you can't go wrong.

Passable

Liked: Good customer service: I requested a room change and this was done effectively and with no quibbles.
Disliked: One of the bathroom taps was leaking, though I was made aware of this at the time of the room change.

Comfy and convrnient.

Liked: Room had a chair & desk to sit at for reading/drinking coffee etc. The bed was comfy. The wooden decor had a period vibe (the rooms were named after historical characters- I had the Bronte room). Breakfast (full English at £7) was good. The room price (£47) was good value, and it very near to the cricket ground for the event I was attending.
Disliked: No air conditioning (it was a muggy night), but you can't really expect that for £47 a night!

No Frills Shelter

Liked: Free on site parking. Free WiFi. Welcoming staff. Right in front of Headingley Cricket/Rugby stadiums and a few minutes walk from a lively bar and eating area. Despite the neglect of the furnishings, especially the carpets, both the room and bathroom were clean to an adequate standard. Very unobtrusive, laid back atmosphere.
Disliked: In desperate need of refurbishment, especially carpet throughout. The accommodation looked and smelled like it had not been redecorated for decades.
