The Butler House Bed & Breakfast

A friendly and comfortable place...

Liked: The Butler House is well located for sightseeing in Niagara Falls, within walking distance of most places of interest. Our hosts, Jamie and Dan, were very friendly and ready to offer information when asked. Our room was not overly large but it was comfortable, and the home-cooked, two-course breakfasts were outstanding!
Disliked: I would have liked having more information available onsite: maps, shuttle routes, list of local events. Dan and Jame were happy to answer specific questions, but a couple of detailed maps and/or pamphlets left in each room would have been convenient as well. For instance, we knew that somewhere at the Aquarium was a stop for catching the free shuttle bus around town, but we didn't know on which side street of the Aquarium the stop was located, so we had to walk all around the building to find it (missing several shuttle busses in the process). Obviously, this wasn't our hosts' fault, but it was a small bit of information that would have been very useful to mention.

Disappointed with this stay

Liked: We got a king bedroom with a detached bathroom. There is nothing on the booking.com site for this bed and breakfast that indicates that a Deluxe King Suite does NOT have an en suite bathroom. We are senior citizens and we each have medical challenges that make having an en suite bathroom very important to us. I would NOT have booked this B&B had I known beforehand.
