This hotel reminds you of Fawlty Towers. It's very dated. Unfortunately our stay was not the most comfortable as there were springs sticking up in the bed. Luckily with the warm temperatures we were OK sleeping on top of the duvets. The rooms have everything you need. Tea/coffee, towels, soap etc however there were several cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and above the doors. On arrival we asked about the food service and were told the restaurant opened at 6.30pm. We were never told that you had to order your evening meal at breakfast time (not quite sure how this works if check in is at 2pm); needless to say we did not have an evening meal as we were told when asking for a menu during the day that it was "too late to order"; I only went down for breakfast on the second day, and sadly it was awful - eggs not cooked properly, bacon that had clearly been sat for a while and the toast was like rubber. It's such a shame as the staff were all really lovely and welcoming, but this hotel is outdated and my personal experience was not a good one.

Disliked: Slightly chaotic breakfasts. Nothing at all is set out for guests to help themselves, and staff didn't explain what was available (and I couldn't see a breakfast menu anywhere), so on the first day the server asked me straight away what cooked breakfast I wanted (with no offer of cereals, juice, toast etc) so I assumed that was all that was on offer. On looking around I could see these items on other guests' tables, so realised they were available, so on subsequent days I asked for them, but they were still never actually offered.
