An oasis of warmth and...

Liked: Breakfast was excellent; interesting that it was at a different location, another lovely pub just down the hill. Dinner at the Bull’s Head was great, chips fantastic (real potatoes, not frozen). Friendly informal surroundings in cosy rooms on the main floor of the pub; bedroom was a good size with a very comfortable king-sized bed with immaculate coverings. The staff were fabulous, everyone so incredibly friendly and welcoming in ways we hadn’t experienced before in the south of the country, which seems much more formal. We loved the location across from the churchyard. It was very peaceful, lots of birdsong. Bit difficult to find at first, but some friendly local folk helped us find our way. Glossop seems like a really lovely community.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like about our visit to Glossop and the Bull’s Head. If we ever come back this way, The Bull’s Head is where we will stay.
