Great weekend in the Hifh...

Liked: Great location, just a 10 minute walk into town. A 5 min taxi ride from the train station.Food excellent - the Sunday roast was amazing. Breakfast was served at their sister pub, which is literally a 30-second walk away and was amazing. The staff were super helpful, and nothing was too muchHighly recommended and would deffo stay there again.

Very basic

Liked: Comfortable bed, good shower. Steep stairs to very basic room. A chair and mat or rug would have been appreciated. Breakfast was at another pub down the road.
Disliked: For the price it wasn't worth going up the stairs.

Liked: Room was great. Beer good. Staff friendly.
Disliked: Food very average and 2 fish items, a special and a regular not available sadly.

Great food and nice location

Liked: Great restaurant with some of the best food we’ve ever had in a pub.
Disliked: The room was cold and there was no hot water late at night.

Liked: Lovely old country pub, rooms are beautifully decorated and facilities are good
Disliked: Unfortunately the breakfast is served at a pub down the road and was really not good so we didn’t bother the second morning and chose to pay in Glossop for it. The shower is a little on the small side and would have liked to see a hairdryer. It would have also been nice to see some lighter choices on the food menu for lunch ie sandwiches etc.
