Liked: Lovely old style ambiance with features to suit.Staff were more than helpful. Assisting me , as I’m on crutches, with my luggage up the stairs. The room overlooking the square was comfortable and the facilities offered were fantastic. Will be back.
Disliked: Nothing to report

Great stay in the centre...

Liked: The breakfast was good, although took quite a while to serve us after our order was taken, but there was quite a large group of usLocation was really greatQuirky rooms

Very good

Liked: Location excellent (we were there for a party at the cherry tree!) and the rooms a very good price. Staff all very friendly. Breakfast food quality could do with some improvement, but staff, service time (large party) was very good. Thank you.

Visiting family

Liked: The building was charming and full of character. The bed was comfortable. The room had everything I needed.
Disliked: I didn't like the smell of the waste water pipes when you run the tapes. It had a stale water smell that lingered in the room each time I used any running water

No heating or hot water...

Liked: Meal was very late and arrived cold. The bill was adjusted to compensate - thank you

Great location and good rooms

Liked: The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Good black out blinds and comfortable bed. The room was spacious too. Nice bar area.
Disliked: The food service takes forever. We did lunch and the breakfast and just took so long. Plenty of staff but not sure why it took so long for everything - food and drinks.

Handy but doors spoilt it...

Liked: Good location in the High Street with limited parking at the rear.
Disliked: Room 1 is directly above the main entrance and the doors crash into each other each time someone enters or leaves the pub or hotel. The banging of doors every minute until 1145pm was wearing! I cannot believe the Hotel aren’t able to resolve this issue.
