Comfortable stay with good facilities....

Liked: Outstanding surrounding views. Hot tub over looking hills and woodland. Rooms are clean and tidy, spacious with quality bed linen, towels and shower gels. Coffee machine and kettle inside the room and a decanter of water provided. Along with a hairdryer, and slipoers. Plenty of space through out the property, whether you want to relax in the garden area with hot tub, large quiet space in a downstairs living room or have drinks in the bar which is also a chinese food restaurant from 17:30pm-to approximately 22:00 depending on bookings.. Inexpensive food and drinks in the restaurant. Breakfast is served between 06:30am and 9am. With cereals, yogurt and a main breakfast choice of, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, beans, vine tomatoes, hash browns and glorious fried eggs. Coffee and tea and a choice of orange or apple juice available too. Check in from 15:00 on arrival checkout up to 10:00 on your departure. 40 minutes from lake Vyrnwy turn left onto nain road out of hotel. 30 minutes to Barmouth turn right out hotel. Located in the south of snowdonia national park.
Disliked: Shower is low for anyone about 5ft 9. Im 6"2 and had to bend down to shower. Our room was located at tbe fromt of the hotel which is located on a busy road with thundering traffic noise through out the whole night. Take ear plugs.

Perfect weekend away

Liked: Very authentic and special hotel with a history! I loved antique furniture and the view through the windows was majestic. The bed and bedding were so soft and comfortable that we slept like on the cloud. We had dinner at Chinese restaurant downstairs and food was lovely, especially green tea ice cream 😍 Owners were very friendly. I will be looking forward to coming back here another year and trying another room!
Disliked: Nothing much, maybe shower would need to be upgraded but that wasn't a big issue at all. Definitely could be more hangers in a wardrobe for clothes!
