The Bruce Hotel

Luxurious but comfortable.

Liked: Rooms are spacious. , nicely decorated. Very clean.
Disliked: It’s expensive so everything should work perfectly. The scale needed batteries. We were not able to take a bath bc the drain could not be closed.

A lovely evening.

Liked: The resistance pool. The gym. The service of a courtesy car to the theatre and arranging taxi service back
Disliked: Suggestion- The bar or late evening service could stay open later than 11:00 so theatre patrons returning to the hotel could enjoy a drink or late night snack. I called the hotel to make a reservation, only to be told there were no rooms. I then looked at Booking.com and there was one. I couldn’t see what was included in the package that I booked. The hotel, upon checking seemed confused why the booking had occurred the way it had.

Liked: Room was bright, airy, comfortable. Breakfast and dinner selection was excellent. Grounds were lovely. Walkable to Stratford theatre. Staff friendly and attentive.

A very pleasant and relaxing...

Liked: Attractive and seemingly secluded thanx to surrounding gardens. Indoors bright lights and wide corridors gave an open feel. The staff were superb at all times.
Disliked: Nothing.

Amazing retreat that made us...

Liked: Everything from driving into the property was stunning. Felt so safe and comfortable and staff were unbelievable, very attentive to every detail. We never wanted to leave 🩷
Disliked: Our only problem was I forgot to book reservations for supper and they weren’t able to accommodate us at the last minute. Was totally my fault. We did get to experience the exceptional restaurant in the morning for breakfast and it totally had up for my error the night before.

We really enjoyed our stay...

Liked: Everything about the hotel was luxurious. The many staff were always eager to assist. The grounds are lovely. The location, a short walk from the festival theater, is perfect. Room service was fast. Breakfast was delicious.
Disliked: The restaurant's wine list needs a little updating.

Liked: Breakfast was fantastic. We could walk to the Shakespeare Festival Theater.
