Nice historic hotel with legendary...
Liked: Historic huge atrium. Have to see to believe. Several Presidents have stayed there.
Disliked: parking is expensive, but you can find a inexpensive parking two blocks away.

Disliked: TV did not work. After 6 minutes on hold for Front Desk, I went back down and asked for engineering to fix. Had dinner at Ship Tavern (Frank was great; 58 years at the Brown!) instead of room service so I could watch the World Series. Checked back at the Front Desk before going back up and was assured TV was working - it was not. Another interminable hold, another trip back down, another visit from engineering. Finally got to watch the game. Took six minutes for "hot" water to show up (Room 631) for a shower in the morning. Now I understand why the Brown was the lowest price room near downtown last night (less than the Holiday Inn Express). PS - I am a member of the Churchill cigar club.

Overpriced and NO WATER!
Liked: I?ve always enjoyed the Brown Palace. It?s a unique and historic hotel. I always enjoy the lobby bar and the Ship Tavern. Rooms are typically modernized and comfortable.
Disliked: Although never disclosed by the property, this hotel is evidently still using the well it Doug prior to opening back in the 1880s or whatever. This is now causing serious and repeated problems. This time, when I woke in the morning the toilet was full of disgusting brown water (Brown Palace, get it?). Shortly after that Evidently this means the old well now sucking dry. Had no ability to use the toilet or shower. This was problematic for my morning business meetings. Eventually the agreed to cancel my second night reservation and refund my prepaid reservation. (They offered only non-cancelable reservations, both through Booking.com and on their own website.). We moved to the nearby Grand Hyatt, which, though lacking in historic charm, had excellent facilities (including running water!) at about half the cost of the BP.

Overall my stay was nice.
Liked: I liked the breakfast, the eggs and fruit were good and the service was good. The staff gave some comps because my room wasn?t ready when I got there.
Disliked: My room could have been ready when I got there.

Other than the disappointment in...
Liked: We loved the service!!! Everyone from Bellmen, concierge, to all of the wait staff in the restaurants and lobby service was superb!! The Lobby music was fun and relaxing and we laughed at the "Snoopy" dance!
A beautiful building with such wonderful history.
Disliked: The ceiling fan didn't work without a horrible squeal, the lights on the bed were out. The alarm clock was blinking and requested to have reset. The bathroom wasn't very clean, nor carpet. There was a pill on the floor, plastic pieces from a mans dress shirt on the carpet and other pieces of lint, etc., you could tell the carpet had not been vacuumed properly. Outside our room was the housekeeping closet, which the door had been left open many times during the day and evening, glasses in hallway not picked up, carpet in front of our room and hallway to elevator was never cleaned in the three nights we were there and housekeeping was very loud on Sunday morning in hallway.
