The Spotlight on The Broome

Charming Boutique Vibes in the Heart of SoHo

Modern meets historic at The Broome, a 14-room boutique hotel tucked into the stylish streets of SoHo. Housed in a beautifully restored 1825 Federal Revivalist building—once home to a graffiti artist commune in the 1980s—this gem blends artistic history with upscale comfort. With its Moroccan-tiled open-air courtyard, cozy design, and complimentary perks like WiFi, breakfast, and chocolate on arrival, it’s the perfect launchpad for a music-filled NYC getaway.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel’s location is a dream for music fans. The Prince Street subway station is just a few blocks away, offering fast, direct access to Union Square, Times Square, and venues all over Manhattan. After a long night of dancing and cheering, returning to the quiet, tucked-away rooms of The Broome feels like a total recharge. The 24-hour front desk makes late arrivals easy, and the peaceful courtyard and luxury linens are ideal for winding down post-show.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to explore SoHo between sets
  • Solo travelers catching that once-in-a-lifetime show
  • Couples planning a romantic, music-filled weekend
  • Fans who want a stylish yet quiet place to crash after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking boutique vibes with extra perks

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, guests enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast—perfect for late risers. The hotel’s prime SoHo location means you’re steps from countless eateries, from upscale bistros to late-night pizza spots. Though room service isn’t offered, the front desk is happy to recommend local delivery options.

Nightlife Options

You’re in SoHo, so nightlife is all around. From trendy cocktail lounges and rooftop bars to intimate jazz spots and late-night cafes, it’s all walkable. While The Broome doesn’t have its own bar, its serene atmosphere is a welcome contrast to the city's buzz.

What People Say

Guests rave about the personalized service, immaculate rooms, and that peaceful courtyard oasis. The design gets high marks for its charm and attention to detail, and reviewers love the location—close to everything but quiet enough to sleep soundly. Many mention the free breakfast and thoughtful touches like chocolate and bottled water.

Areas for Improvement

The hotel’s charm lies in its small size, but that means no elevator—so pack light if you’re on an upper floor. Also, while there’s no bar or gym, most guests say the surrounding neighborhood more than makes up for it.

The Bottom Line

If you want a stylish, peaceful place to crash after a high-energy night out, The Broome hits all the right notes for concert-goers in NYC.

Pleasant

Liked: The location of the hotel is terrific. We enjoyed walking around Coxo and there was a lot of great shopping to do around.
Disliked: First look at the room after arrival, I was amaized to see many stains on the carpet. I have attached a picture. The furniture in the room was ok, but the carpets gave the room a very tired feel. We have also noticed stains on the sheets and a hole in one of the towels - pictures attached. This was of course dissapointing.Feedback from previous guests mentioned good breakfast. Unfortunately during our stay there was no breakfast served at the hotel, and we got a 20$ voucher for a cafe nearby. We didn't like the place and got refunded for the breakfast. The 20$ allowance by itself annoyed me a lot because it is not the same as having an included breakfast at the hotel. For that allowance, we could get a coffee and a dish - but if I wanted some juice on top of that I had to pay out of pocket. The other thing about the room was that the beds were supposted to be queen-sized, but they felt smaller than that. The beds were comfortable though.

One of the best weekend...

Liked: Beautiful accommodations, excellent staff, great location!
Disliked: The bartender in the evening lounge was a mess and was too busy to serve us

Disappointing

Liked: Excellent location. Well appointed bathroom and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast at the citizens of Soho.
Disliked: Was expecting a boutique hotel. Felels more like serviced rooms . No charm. Not much personnality. Terrible artwork. Hanging planters in the patio area either empty or full of weeds or dead plants.

Passable

Liked: Good location. Staff helpful but no management freedom
Disliked: Just ahead of arrival, when too late to cancel, the hotel informed us that works (a small "lifting") were being carried such that the courtyard cafe would be closed, and no breakfast on site. As such the place had lost its charm and we offered to stay 1 night and leave nxt day. It took a while to agree not to be charged for the remaining days. Not acceptable that works notice was given so late when the booking had been made 3 months ahead.

Would stay there again.

Liked: The staff were very gracious. The room was comfortable, especially the bed and linens. The location was perfect. It was very safe and accessible to restaurants, cafes, bars.
Disliked: the restaurant could have been opened, but was closed for renovations. Had to go out for early morning coffee and breakfast, but they did give a voucher for the morning meal.

Dark room and breakfast not...

Liked: The very friendly staff at the front desk and the very central location. It was also very quiet.
Disliked: The room I had had a window on a dark courtyard with room light necessary during day time. Breakfast is proposed but it is not onsite.
