Very good

Liked: Staff all very helpful and friendly despite how busy they were. The breakfast is enormous.
Disliked: The room was very small, although in a building like this it's just one of those things!

Fabulous place for exploring. Good...

Liked: Great location. Lovely outside seating area. Lovely food, good quality and service. Lovely and peaceful room.
Disliked: Would of liked some more choice with the continental breakast, home made breads or pastries, homemade yoghurt perhaps, fresh fruit salad instead of tinned pineapple, nuts and seeds.£6 for a pint of Wainwrights, Blackburn brew, local beer is better.

Great food, lovely staff.

Liked: This pub is lovely. And right on the Cumbria Way so ideally located. Dinner was fab as was breakfast. Room was clean and toiletries provided.
Disliked: The room was very cosy (a twin for me and dad) and rather warm. Compared to other places we stayed on the route, this was the most expensive by about £20 each per night.
