Didn’t quite hit the spot...
Liked: Great location, food and staff.
Disliked: Expensive bar (£10 glass of wine). Tired corridors leading to excellent rooms. Average breakfast

Liked: Last minute decision to find stay local to Ambleside
Disliked: Not ideal for us both really, acceptable for last minute decision

Liked: The setting is lovely. The inn is charming and it is a centre of local life.
Disliked: The food is good but heavy and the portions are enormous.

Great food, lovely staff.
Liked: This pub is lovely. And right on the Cumbria Way so ideally located. Dinner was fab as was breakfast. Room was clean and toiletries provided.
Disliked: The room was very cosy (a twin for me and dad) and rather warm. Compared to other places we stayed on the route, this was the most expensive by about £20 each per night.

Liked: Nice cosy pubRoom was great ,Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was goodHelpful and friendly girl serving.Really Lovely location. Very nice stay
Disliked: A member of staff was pretty dissmive when I tried to book dinner for Saturday evening and wasn't particularly helpful.
