You're just a short walk from top venues and nightlife, yet the hotel still offers a peaceful retreat when the music winds down.

Why Concert-goers love it

Music fans rave about the unbeatable central location—just a short stroll from venues like Bristol Beacon and Thekla. After a late night out, the hotel’s 12:00 PM check-out means you can recover in peace. Rooms are quiet despite the central setting, and the harbor views make for a calming wake-up after a lively gig. With plenty of taxis and late-night buses nearby, getting back is easy even after encores.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting quality without splurging

Food and Drink Options

The River Lounge offers light bites and afternoon teas, ideal for winding down. For late-night cravings, you’ve got Rick’s cocktail bar and several nearby eateries within walking distance. While there's no 24/7 room service, you’ll find enough options to satisfy your appetite after a gig.

Nightlife Options

Rick’s, the hotel’s own glamorous cocktail bar, delivers a laid-back, exotic vibe with expertly mixed drinks. Step outside and you’re minutes from Bristol’s buzzing harborside nightlife—bars, lounges, and clubs are all within easy reach. Whether you're after a post-show pint or a late-night dance floor, you're sorted.

What People Say

Guests love the harbor views, stylish decor, and central location. Many praise the hotel’s comfortable beds and friendly staff. Reviewers also highlight the peaceful atmosphere despite the lively area, making it a great choice for concert-goers who want both energy and rest.

Areas for Improvement

While most guests enjoy their stay, some mention that parking is limited and can be pricey. Others would appreciate more late-night food options within the hotel. Still, with so much nearby, it’s rarely a deal-breaker.

The Bottom Line

The Bristol Hotel is a stylish, centrally located haven that hits all the right notes for concert-goers looking to mix music, comfort, and riverfront charm.

Fan, Portland, visiting O2 Academy Bristol

Wish I could have stayed longer, to have time to use the restaurant and bar.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff; comfy bed; nice coffee; very good location for shopping, food, art and music.
Disliked: Very small lift.

Kathryn N, Haverfordwest, visiting Bristol Beacon

Ideal for attending concert event at Colston Hall and the Hippodrome. The added bonus of free parking and location near to the quay made it all the better. The quality of the room and the hotel in general was of a high standard and I would definitely stay there again when I next visit Bristol.

Liked: Great location; comfortable room; clean and well equipped; helpful staff; excellent value for money.

Superb

Liked: Very comfortable bed. Well situated. Smelt and looked very clean.
Disliked: Bathroom very small but didn’t cause any problems as only one night.Noisy at night as room backs onto river which has bars other side.Room was warm but couldn’t open windows due to noise. Think there was an aircon unit but didn’t use as wasn’t that hot.

Lovely hotel, great location. Do...

Liked: We really liked the hotel and they were attentive to our needs of hypoallergenic bedding and putting us in a dog free room
Disliked: The room we were allocated was tiny compared to others we saw and have stayed in. No room to swing a cat sadly.
