Liked: Staff were excellent, very friendly and felt right at home straight away. The food was limited choice on the Dinner, bed and breakfast deal but was delicious, probably one of the best lasagne I've ever tasted.

Liked: Lovely building, very friendly and warm staff
Disliked: The place needs to be upgraded. The carpets looked grubby and our room was shoddy - although it had obviously been upgraded it wasn't up to a decent standard. The toilet flush was very stiff and the tiles were cracked. The breakfast room was really attractive but the seats were worn and uncomfortable. Overall, I think it was overprced.

I will definitely be staying...

Liked: Staff were excellent and very friendly. Food at breakfast and dinner was very good. Room was comfortable, I slept well. Location is excellent so I would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: WiFi in my room wasn’t great so I struggled to FaceTime my family.

Liked: Easy to find just off A1, good location to split long journey home. Large car park. Spacious double room on ground floor. A very good walk-in shower, room clean & comfortable. Bed was lovely and soft, wonderful duvet. Had dinner, bed & breakfast deal. Excellent value for money. Carvery style dinner, nothing exotic but very tasty food. Breakfast was a buffet style, again standard choice but very edible. Staff were friendly & efficient. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay to catch our breath before the next long drive.
Disliked: Cant think of anything we really didn't like. A better quality of loo roll would be good.

The good stopover

Liked: Conveniently located near the M1, clean rooms, friendly service and good food in the restaurant. We will revisit when the opportunity next arises.
