Exceptional

Liked: Lovely room with street access. Hotel close to places of interest
Disliked: Wet room floor, water spread quite a bit towards toilet and door

Nice friendly atmosphere with helpful...

Liked: I liked the rustic atmosphere of the pub environment downstairs and the fact that none of the noise made its way upstairs. Having physical locks to stop non hotel guests from entering was a nice touch.
Disliked: The window to the bathroom was unfrosted glass which meant that unless you used the blinds provided it was clear for people to see inside. The blinds were useful for privacy but without the adjustment rod and the pull cord for the roller blind operating them was a pain.

First time staying in Lancaster...

Liked: It’s nice it’s over a pub but also a really nice restaurant in there too and the rooms were nice and spacious

Exceptional

Liked: The fact that the hotel was part of a 'beer proud' pub, it was easy to catch some good layer night conversation with the bar staff.
Disliked: I wish they'd warned me not to park my motorbike out front overnight. I got a parking ticket in the morning!

Amazing location, nice room!

Liked: The room is in an excellent location for Lancaster, but was enough out of the main town to be quieter. The staff member who showed us to our room was really nice and helpful. The room was really nice, well decorated and for the most part, clean.
Disliked: The bathroom smelled mouldy and we later noticed that the shower curtain had visible mould spores on it, with cobwebs all up the walls. So it could perhaps be a bit cleaner? That said, that was the only thing I remember needing attention. The next morning when we checked out we were considering breakfast, which I thought the place did, but the member of staff who took our keys was quite like "thanks for the keys, bye!" so it felt like we didn't have a chance to consider it. The room is right by the road, and the window / door lets in quite a lot of noise from the street. That night, the bin lorry came to empty the glass waste from the pub at 5am which was extremely loud, so be prepared for that.
