Very good

Great place to stop at...

Liked: We stayed in the Pennine Room which was lovely and a good size (though not much room at the bottom of the bed). The bathroom was large and the shower good. Breakfast was lovely - full Scottish breakfast cooked to order and choice of cereal, fruit and yogurt to start,
Disliked: I booked a double room but was given a twin. However this was quickly sorted out so no problem.

Liked: Location excellent for the end of the Pennine Way
Disliked: Quite expensive in comparison to other hotels on the Pennine Way, but appreciate maybe that’s due to its location.

Liked: Room was vg and comfortable. The staff were coureous and welcoming.
Disliked: A tad pricey

Great spot, needs to address...

Liked: Great breakfast. Room was too warm at night because it only had a skylight not a window. As it was rainy, the skylight had to be closed.

Expensive but perfect location &...

Liked: If you are walking the PW or SCW, this is the place to stay. Amazingly friendly staff. Strong WiFi. Comfortable bed. Top marks for the food generally and especially the savoury cheese sandwich they made me for lunch.
Disliked: Massively overpriced, although in fairness it might be cheaper if booked direct. Rooms vary in quality, apparently. Mine needed a refurb and had paper thin walls. All that said, the staff and location mean I'd stay again.
