Liked: Central location. Clean accommodation
Disliked: Mattress was too firm for my liking. A container or platform for the soap/shower gell would help in the shower unit.

Disliked: The room was tiny, not suitable for a double it was gruby dusty and needed a good clean with mould in the shower and bathroom .

Liked: Location of the tavern was close to the train station and close to the city centre. Room was clean comfortable and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and approachable. Cooked breakfast was just spot on.
Disliked: I can't think of anything that needed improving.

A pub with rooms, absolutely...

Liked: The lady who greeted us was really nice. Pub looked fun.
Disliked: Should not be advertised as a Hotel. Its a pub with rooms. For that, it is perfect and the pub looked great. But the photos and ad on Booking.com are misleading. It was noisy, bed was tiny and it was tatty and dirty. We didn't stay.

A working pub with live...

Liked: It is in a good location close to the center and is a good locals pub. Good for “one for the road” before bed and good live music
Disliked: This is a locals pub with live music every weekend. It’s not for someone who goes to bed early! You can hear the noise from the bar in the rooms and the bar is open late (and had a lock in when we were there). However we were in the attic room so hard nothing, but in the morning other guests were complaining and checked out early. Breakfast is not veggie friendly - no vegetarian sausages for example. Beds not comfortable - prefer old. The hot water cut out completely in the shower - as in no water at all (not even cold). No way to phone down to tell anyone and as I was in the shower at the time it wasn’t great to have to walk all the way down from the attic, into an open pub, to say that I need to finish my shower. When reported later the bartender was not surprised and said “you should have come down” which suggests it’s a known issue. Photos have been taken well - rooms are shabbier than photos
