Quiet, comfortable and beautiful!

Liked: Very comfortable and quiet. Perfect for our bikepacking trip as there was room for our bikes in the room, a double bed each and the bar served delicious food! Lovely spot near a canal with very friendly staff!
Disliked: Nothing, all good!

Lovely restaurant but dirty room

Disliked: The room was very small and dirty. There was not fridge in the room despite saying that fridges were available in all rooms. The toilet seat was not fixed properly, all floors very dirty. Wallpaper peeling off the walls and only 1 pull cord on the wall lights.You are charged £25 for your dog regardless of hiw long you are staying so not 1 night thought that was excessive especially when paying £60+ for a dirty room! Also rotten woodwork around the windows and front door

Disliked: A long term guest in room number 1 turned up at the outside of the hotel and shouted abuse loudly at 1am in the morning, drunk and out of control. This went on for some time and woke up my 8 year old daughter who was very upset. He then proceeded to start driving around the car park and road outside the hotel drunk and then the Police were called. This all went on for over 1.5 hours and we had 3 hours sleep from then onwards as we needed to leave early the next morning for work. I think the hotel should choose wisely their long term guests. The guest was taken away and I presume charged by the police for drunk driving and damaging property. I would have thought I would have had a phone call from the property the day after but have heard nothing, very bad customer service in my opinion and not happy at all!

Liked: Plenty of free parking. Easy access to the rooms. Staff were very friendly
Disliked: Curtains were thin so the light came through very early in the morning. Would have preferred mugs instead of cups

Liked: Location, food and staff were exceptional!
Disliked: The room was shocking.It was very tired and unclean.It was too dark to take a shower and the blind in the shower room was broken.There was a terrible layer of dust on the fire instructions laminate on the dressing table. In general, the room was appalling.
