The Blue Heron Inn

If you are going to be close by I highly recommend the Blue Heron Inn.

Liked: Everything was awesome. From check in to check out this Inn was excellent.

Liked: It was a quaint inn. My kids had fun
Disliked: When I turned on the shower, all the power to the room went out. When the power came back on, the shower barely worked. That is my only complaint.

Ok but needs updating

Liked: The location is great for restaurants and a walk with your pets around the lake. View of the lake was beautiful and peaceful.
Disliked: It's outdated and they are just stating a few renovations. We had no idea so that was frustrating.

Exceptional

Liked: It was the perfect relaxing room for our 32nd anniversary and just days before my hip surgery I was very happy, also dog friendly for a fee

Very Enjoyable

Liked: Conveniently located to walk or within a few miles to get what we needed. Love the Restaurant and service there. Staff very accommodating.

Disliked: Did not know that it was under construction. The bed was too soft and the shower had some mold at the bottom of door

Laporte Lakeside

Liked: Lake front view, very nice. Centrally located.
Disliked: The rooms are clean, but are a bit dated for the money. The shower in my suite was located inside the big Jacuzzi tub. Had to climb over the tile into the tub to shower. Tub very slippery, climbing back out onto the tile floor,wet, is very dangerous.almost slipped and fell a few times. The Outside Boardwalk and Tiki bar were closed for renovations. One of the main reasons I wanted to stay at The Blue Heron,was to relax outside ,lakeside. It's not Blue Heron fault though, that is owned by T Bonz restaurant, but a notification would have been nice.The Manager Did give me a discount for the Amenities being closed, So that was Nice.

Liked: the porch and lake view was nice
Disliked: dirty and old , considered remodeled just bc they added hardwood floors but didn’t do anything else.you can tell it had charm back in the day and was a fancy inn.breakfast wasn’t great, for the price i thought the room would be cleaner and the food would be better. it should definitely not cost as much as it does. the towels are very old with a musty smellspa tub yellowing and had staining around jets baseboards dirty , walls dirty doors dirty a good cleaning would have made a big difference.overall room had an odor
