Adequate accomodation when visiting Stratford...

Liked: Good parking, great location and the staff were very pleasant and helpful
Disliked: The beds weren't the best and breakfast was cereal and full English - OK for me but my wife would have liked an Omlette or scrambled eggs also breakfast finished at 8.30......fine if you have to get to work but not so good when you're on holiday. My dinner was good but my wife's wasn't as described - Gambas (breaded king prawns) turned out to be Shrimps on lettuce and her Chicken Ceasar Salad was made with Mayonaise and untoasted bread.

Got into the room eventually,...

Liked: The lady who cleaned the room was pleasant and friendlyThere was a kettle and vegan biscuits in the room. The shower worked wellThe beds were comfortableThe room was pretty far from the bar were we had to book in, and we had to walk to and from there a few times to sort out issues, finally got to use the room 40 mins after arrival. Not something I liked as we were pretty tired, but I ran out of space in the other section.
Disliked: Instead of the family room we'd booked we were given the key to a double room. When we asked for the family room we'd booked we were told this wasn't available but the room could be rearranged to two single beds. As it was only two of us that was fine.Told to buy a drink and wait while the room was sorted out. When I asked whether there was any vegan wine & the person serving didn't know, they let me look at the back of two bottles to check, then walked off without a word. I wouldn't usually bother asking/looking when a venue doesn't know about vegan wine but it'd been a bit of a day and I'd have liked a drink! After waiting five minutes another member of staff came to take the order, I asked if I could have a quick look to see if any of the wine was vegan. He looked at one and then announced that none of their wine is vegan because it's organic. Asked me what made wine vegan, then walked away a few words into my reply.Eventually we got a couple of glasses of water. Drank them and returned to the room. We saw that the person changing the beds had found a load of dirt under the beds so gone to get a vacuum etc. so we went back to the beer garden for another 20 mins.Although the floor was hoovered I had to wear socks as the floor really needed a wash, and when we dried the shower water from between the toilet and the wet room door, the towel got dirty. We only stayed the night so didn't need to use it again but felt a bit embarrassed thinking someone might think that dirt had come from us.No soya milk or green/fruit/herbal teas but I had green tea bags with me so could have a cuppa. There was some vegan food on the evening menu but I didn't feel confident that they knew about veganism there so didn't eat so can't comment on the food.We booked around lunchtime and turned up around 6pm same day due to an emergency.
