Liked: Clean with lovely views in a very quiet location

A beautiful home away from...

Liked: We arrived slightly early so sat on the bench outside whilst we looked for some local walks. As we were waiting, a member of staff came out to ask if we were ok and then allowed us to check in 30 minutes early which was very helpful! Staff were all very polite. We stayed in The Barn, it was very nicely decorated and spacious. I imagine it would be super cosy in winter with the log burner lit! The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom felt luxurious. We both slept extremely well. The accommodation was in a peaceful location and there was plenty parking just across the road from the main building.
Disliked: Minor points -There is a small window from the kitchen that looks out to the outdoor seating area of the inn - one to be cautious of when coming out of the shower as the bathroom is by the kitchen. Salt and pepper would have been a nice addition in the kitchen. We brought a lot of our own food but hadn’t considered seasoning. As it is part of an inn it would be a simple but very convenient addition.

Disliked: I found the staff and owner slightly rude delivered a drink spilt it didn’t say anything or try to tidy it up ask for a different table rather the one sat right at the entrance door and toilets for the price this isn’t good, ran out of 2 mains on the menu of 6. The best though was the breakfast for somewhere where the food is a very good standard to serve the full English with Richmond sausages is just not acceptable! Very poor

Very relaxing. Lovely place with...

Liked: Not a huge choice. But cooked beautifully. Jane who dealt with breakfast. (She took orders and served) she was very good. Friendly and efficient.
Disliked: Some sort of little fridge in the rooms. Delivered milk in the morning which was good. By the time we got back in the afternoon the milk was not nice. Could not keep any of our drinks cool. The weather was wonderful and hot. A little something to keep drinks cold would have been good.

Liked: The food was excellent. Well-curated food and drinks menu. The staff was attentive and professional. The room was spacious and had excellent views. The hotel's commitment to sustainability was evident in all aspects of the hotel experience.
Disliked: Nothing. It was perfect.
